Is News Intelligence free?
Yes, to start. A free account gets 50 checks a day, shared across every tool, and sees part of each answer. Subscribers, newsrooms and organisations see everything.
Why is part of my answer blurred?
Free accounts see the verdict, the reference and the opening lines. The full explanation and the source links are for subscribers and newsrooms, so you can upgrade to see them before you share anything.
Do the extension, keyboard, app and plugin work the same way?
Yes. One account, one allowance. Sign in with the same email everywhere and your plan follows you. A newsroom signs in with the email on its paid workspace.
What counts as a check?
A normal check, link check, PDF, image or script counts as 1. Heavy tools (Thoth, Soyombo, audio and video, and the AI-or-fake media check) count as 2. A long message with several claims may count as more than one.
When does my daily count reset?
At midnight Nigerian time (West Africa Time).
What happens when I use my 50 checks?
Nothing is deleted. You can keep reading your saved answers, and your allowance returns at midnight Nigerian time. You can also add credits or subscribe to keep going.
Do credits expire?
No timer runs on credits you buy. They stay until you use them.
How do I pay?
Payments are not open yet. The Buy credits button on the Pricing and Billing pages will switch on when they are.
Why is Thoth locked?
Thoth builds profiles of real people and organisations. We open it only to journalists whose identity we have checked.
How do I get Thoth?
Sign in, fill in the application form, upload your press card or work ID, wait for approval, then make the access payment. Details are in Journalist access.
How long does approval take?
A person reviews every application. We email you as soon as there is a decision, and the apply page always shows your current status.
Who can see my ID card?
Only PIJAlance staff who review applications. It is never shown to other users.
Can the answers be wrong?
Yes. Answers are made by AI and the product is in testing. Always open the sources before you rely on or share a result.
Which languages work?
English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo for most tools.
Can I use it in my own app or newsroom system?
Yes, through the API at platform.chatniai.com.
