Check a claim
Paste a message, headline, quote or figure. We search the open web, recent news, social media, official sources, Nigeria's fact-checking record and the PIJAlance archive, and give you a verdict with the sources behind it. If the evidence is not there, we say so: either an unverified rumour (repeated online, but no reliable source backs it) or no verifiable evidence found. See how it works.
Check a link
Paste a link before you click it. First we look at the link and the website without you opening it: where it really leads, how old the website name is, its history and warning signs of a scam or fake site. Then, for a page or video, we read the whole thing, pull out each claim that can be checked, search for evidence on every claim, and give a verdict on each one, plus an overall summary. A link check cannot guarantee a link is safe, so treat it as a warning system, not a promise.
Find Doc&Stat
Ask for a report, official document or research paper. We find documents you can download, and pull out the statistics that answer your question, with the year and the source.
Audio / Video desk
Upload audio or video, or paste a direct link. You get a transcript you can copy and download, and translate into another language. If you want, we also pull the claims out of the transcript and fact-check them against the evidence.
Griot
Creative scripts for scriptwriters, broadcast journalists and local radio presenters, written for your audience and your topic.
Thoth
For approved journalists. Name a public figure, organisation or topic, and Thoth builds a sourced background dossier in about a minute: timeline, public statements, business and contracts, and the legal and official record. Treat every line as a lead: open the link and confirm before you rely on it.
Think longer (coming soon)
A very in-depth analysis of one claim: the verdict, every claim inside it, many sources, how far it has spread and what harm it could do.
Your language
English, Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. Type "switch to Hausa" (or any of the five) and the chat answers in that language from then on.
For newsrooms, and other organisations
Use News Intelligence inside your own tools through the API. It is made first for newsrooms, and works just as well for NGOs, universities and other organisations.
Your editor, not ours. When a claim needs a human decision, it goes to your own editor, with the claim and the evidence we found. You review it and publish the verdict. If you would rather have PIJAlance editors handle that part, that is a separate editor-desk subscription.
The first 100 checks every month are free. After that you pay only for what you use.
Seen something you're not sure about?Check it before you share it. It takes less than a minute.
